Manual Slide Valves

Hand Grip (HG)

  • For fully open or fully closed positions.
  • An isolating valve between processes.
  • Operated using a vertical post hand grip.
  • Horizontal loop handle option available.
  • Slide plate is secured by spring-loaded pin.
  • Intermediate locking position on request.

Typical Applications

  • The bottom of a container or hopper, where manual discharge operation is required.
  • The outlet or inlet of feeders to isolate from process up and down stream, when maintaining or cleaning down.
  • On the outlet of mixers or similar equipment for manual discharge of mixer on completion of mixing and or isolation when mixing is in operation.

Hand Lever (HL)

  • The Hand Lever is a control Membrane Slide Valve infinitely variable from closed to fully open.
  • Operation is manually controlled by a pivoted hand lever which locks in the fully closed position.
  • A thumb trigger releases the lock allowing opening then the bore is varied manually by pulling/pushing the lever.
  • The design is highly suited to all applications where manual fine adjustment of product flow is required.

Typical Applications

  • Keg and bag filling – used to control flow rate into the package below.
  • Manual weigh scales where the operator opens and closes the valve, varying the flow rate to achieve accurate weighment.
  • Where the operator wants to vary flow rate to other processes downstream.

Hand Wheel (HW)

  • The Hand Wheel Membrane Slide Valve is a control valve with variable control from fully closed to fully open.
  • Operation is manual though a hand wheel and threaded shaft so the valve bore can be varied.
  • A clear plastic plate can be fitted on the guard to enable the operator to see how much the valve is open.
  • This Membrane Slide Valve design is suited to controlling product flow where fine adjustment is required.

Typical Applications

  • On process ductwork where fine variations in product flow is needed, or repeatable flow rate required.
  • As an isolation valve, where isolation is operated infrequently.
  • On process equipment where product is dumped into the process below and controlled opening / closing is important.
